At Skateland, participants will gather in the cafeteria at 2:00 p.m. Afterward, passionate street artist and tour guide Richard, aka Satoshi Nakamoto, will take them on a tour lasting over an hour to see street art pieces in the Feijenoord neighborhood. Back at Skateland, participants can enjoy some refreshments and incorporate the inspiration they’ve gained into their own pixel art mini-puzzle.

About the guide
Satoshi Nakamoto is a Rotterdam-based artist who has been active in public spaces since 2010. With his distinctive Urban Mosaic style, his work can now be found in various European cities and museum collections. His work is heavily influenced by hip-hop, pop art, and Blaxploitation, and revolves around identity, image-making, and empowerment.

Among other projects, Satoshi is involved with ALL CAPS, from which Skateland has taken over the street culture education program—including this street art tour. As a guide, he takes participants on a tour of the neighborhood’s murals and, drawing on his own experience as an artist, talks about street art, the artists, and the culture behind it. Guided by the hip-hop principle of “Each One Teach One,” he shares his knowledge and helps participants see art in public spaces in a new light.
