An ode to what is – Embrace the paradox
Interactive nature experience

What if the future of our city doesn’t begin above ground, but deep below it?
Beneath our feet lies a wondrous world: a hidden universe of roots, fungi, organisms, and countless connections. A world in which everything constantly works together, nourishes one another, and creates space for new life. A world that is barely visible, yet on which everyone depends.
During An ode to what is Hefpark invites visitors to join the space marvelers on an interactive journey of discovery. Guided by their senses, imagination, and curiosity, participants discover how soil life functions, how everything is interconnected, and what people can learn from it.
After all, are people really that different from the nature beneath their feet? Just like plants, people have roots, too. We all need nourishment, connection, space, and light. Everyone sprouts at their own pace.
After their underground journey of discovery, the participants return together to the light. The experience concludes with a special dance performance about connection and support: a collective movement in which everyone is free to be themselves, differences are celebrated, and space is created for growth.
Embrace the paradox
The word everyone brings together each and one, the individual and the collective. Every person is unique, yet at the same time is part of a larger whole. The strength of a collective lies not in the sameness of its members, but rather in the diversity of their differences. An ode to what is, is a surprising, interactive, and accessible experience for everyone.
