Cooperating in Essenburgpark

Are you aching to help urban nature florish? We want to share our experience of the DIY Essenburgpark with you. The Essenburgpark is a varied and beautiful piece of urban nature with its own life rhythms, human and non-human, serving as a place of living, learning, meeting, (re)connecting, working and creativity. But how did it come about?
How did this raw railway fringe zone become a common ground where local residents, the water authority (the Hoogheemraadschap van Schieland en de Krimpenerwaard’) and the municipality of Rotterdam collaborate to maintain and promote urban nature and water retention?
With Cooperating in the Essenburgpark you will get a storytelling tour of the Essenburgpark with different voices and perspectives. You will be invited to participate in a workshop addressing issues of maintenance, cooperation, valuation and activism.
Drinks and snacks are provided.
The spoken language is Dutch.
Participation is free, but please register by sending an email to contact@essenburgpark.nl.
