Jubilee Harvest Day at the Buytenhof

This year is a special year for the Buytenhof, because they are celebrating their 20th anniversary! To celebrate this anniversary, there will be a special Jubilee Harvest Day on Saturday 31 August 2024. From 10:00 to 16:00 you are welcome to pick your own potatoes, pumpkins, apples and pears. Discover what grows and blooms in the Buijtenland van Rhoon.

In addition to harvesting, there is much more to experience! On the farm you will find a cozy food market with various tastings and demonstrations:

  • The farmer bakes fries from the fresh potato harvest.

  • Ice cream stand for a refreshing ice cream.

  • Opstroopwafel with delicious apple pie stroopwafels (from the new harvest of apples) and for the children: decorate a stroopwafel.

  • Pumpkin soup to go, freshly prepared from the latest pumpkin harvest.

  • Farmer's cinema with a short film about the history and versatility of the polder.

  • Beer tasting with local Rhoon beers from Vaanbrouwers.

  • Nimble offers products in which they process Buytenhof harvest.

  • Information stand of Herenboeren Rhoon.

  • Demonstrations of biological insect control by Koppert.

  • Area cooperative Buijtenland van Rhoon with Skydive demos and the Association Friends of Polders Albrandswaard (VVPA).
