Bike tour through the landscape off the north fringe of Rotterdam

A leisurely bike tour through the green north fringe of Rotterdam takes you to circular farms, nature spots, high waters and a deep polders.

Since a decade, these 18th century polders are evolving from monofunctional agrarian area into a lively mix of wetlands nature, circular agriculture, slow recreation and public involvement.

The guides and speakers on the tour have been involved in this transformation and will be more than happy to talk about the life cycles and development of nature.

On the way we meet and greet with:
Wetland birds, flowering rush, sheep, and other non-human inhabitants;
Petra and Martin Oosthoek of boerderij Schieveen, community farmers of Herenboerderij Vlinderstrik;
Bob Hartog from Rotterdam de Boer op.

At Boerderij Schieveen a simple drink and snack is provided.

The tour will be both in Dutch and in English.
