Academic Workshop Soil - TIME

The Academic Workshop Soil (AWS) is organizing a series of four meetings on urban soil, based on the themes of Scale, Depth, Interaction and Time. The first three meetings already taught that much more biodiverse and integral work in and with soil is needed to restore and promote urban soil and climate. This provides humans with the healthy habitat that protects and nourishes. The third meeting (Interaction) provided insights into what interaction and cohabitation with nature and nature-inclusive design and building can do.
Elaborating on this, the fourth session (Time) will address how a better, integral direction of underground planning should be taken, making the natural system, our selfless infranature, an inseparable part of urban infrastructure. What approach and mentality do infrastructural works in and with the soil require in the short and long term with the construction of assets (man) and the restoration and promotion of vital soil and biodiversity (nature)?
The spoken language is English.
The meeting is free to attend, but an entrance ticket or a museumjaarkaart is required for access to the Groote Museum Artis.
