New Narratives for Architecture and Urbanism (NNAU)

How can we create conditions for a sustainable and hopeful design practice? The IABR invites you on 10 October for NNAU to contribute to building a new, sustainable, multivocal narrative. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore how we can integrate ecological, social, and cultural issues into our designs and strengthen the societal role of architects.
IABR initiated NNAU! - New Narratives for Architecture & Urbanism in 2023, in collaboration with Vincent van der Meulen (Kraaijvanger), Ninke Happel (HCVA), and Daan Zandbelt (De Zwarte Hond): a group of determined architects who stand for a cultural, ecological, social and aesthetic interpretation of the profession. During Nature of Hope, almost 200 people from the field continued to work on shaping this polyphonic story in the Practice Place.
Now it is time to pass the baton. On October 10, we will present the findings of the meetings that took place during the biennale to a broad alliance of people who are striving for ecological transformation within and outside the design practice - from government advisor to teachers.
