Description
In collaboration with publisher NAI010, IABR presents the book launch of It’s About Time: The Architecture of Climate Change. Professor Derk Loorbach will discuss the practice of backcasting as a valuable method for envisioning and realizing transformative futures. With this approach, we imagine a future in which today’s problems have been resolved, allowing us to work backward to the present to identify the necessary steps for change.
Loorbach, one of the world’s most cited scientists, will share inspiring examples along with other experts, demonstrating how backcasting is not only a powerful tool for architectural design but also plays a key role in ecological transition, policy-making, and artistic projects. How can we harness our collective imagination to create a radically different future?
