From April 13 until June 13, 2025, Panorama Ukraine will present its first results in the exhibition 'Urban Dialogues: Ukrainian and Dutch design visions for building better futures' in the Lviv Mobility Center, in Lviv, Ukraine. This exhibition is a joint effort by Ukrainian and Dutch architects and urban designers to work towards inspiring and hopeful visions for the future of Ukraine.

Shortly after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Dutch and Ukrainian designers came together to start plan the reconstruction of Ukraine. For the first time, the ongoing Panorama Ukraine project will be unveiled, showcasing innovative ideas in essential areas such as water management, sustainable neighborhoods, and energy production. These, and other societal topics which need futures exploration like agriculture or viable ecosystems, all have spatial ramifications and are thus the domain of architects and urban planners.
Although Ukraine faces the consequence of the full-scale invasion, both Dutch and Ukrainian contexts are met with fundamental transitions of systemic nature such as climate change. By addressing this, today’s challenges can become an opportunity for structural (spatial) improvements in the coming decades.
The exhibition consists of three parts: Panorama Ukraine, Panorama the Netherlands, and Designing the Netherlands: 100 Years of Past & Present Futures. Combined these domains allow for regenerative futures and are the building blocks for new and integral visions towards repair, reconstruction and desirable (human) livability.
Initiated by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine, the exhibition aims to support Ukraine's rebuilding efforts, urban development, and foster collaboration between Ukrainian and Dutch architects. Through guided tours, lectures and workshops, this exhibition is an open invitation to start imagining and building a better tomorrow.
