The ongoing war in Ukraine has fundamentally transformed the country's energy landscape. From being an energy-proficient nation that exported power as a significant contributor to its GDP, Ukraine now faces unprecedented challenges in maintaining its energy security. However, these challenges have also catalyzed a remarkable transformation toward a more resilient and decentralized energy system.
In the workshop Resilient Energy Production, participants will work on strategies for energy system resilience, best practices for community energy solutions and building blocks for rebuilding energy resilience in times of war. Different working groups will be guided by experts from offices and NGO’s such as Bright (NL), Fabrications (NL), Rethink (UA), Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation (UA), Generation.Energy (NL), Urban Synergy (NL), Rebel Architects (NL) and CEE Bankwatch Netwerk (UA).
This workshop is the fourth workshop organized in the context of Panorama Ukraine, a long-term program and jointly supported project of IABR, Ukraine the Netherlands Network (UNUN), Dutch Board of Government Advisors (CRa), Deltametropool Association (VDM) and ReStart Ukraine, with generous support from the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.
