As part of the exhibition of IABR–2016, the project Map of Rotterdam South encouraged everyone to think along about what a better public domain in this part of the city requires and send in their submissions. What are spaces that are enjoyable and facilitate meeting each other; where are the necessary openings in the urban fabric and what improvements are necessary in order to realize good public space in this part of the city? And how could these places truly become public domain?
During this session the initiators Els Bet, Arnold Reijndorp and Han Meyer, together with Maarten Hajer (chief curator IABR–2016) will comment upon the entries. Their advice will be delivered to the Department of Urban Planning of the City of Rotterdam.
Location: in the exhibition, at the Tafel van Zuid
